The touch-sensitive controls allow you to start/stop recording, read temperature (MIN/MAX/AVG), verify alarm set limits, and use the backlight function. Within 5 seconds of the display refresh interval, the Precise sensor provides an accurate measured value. It is powered by three 1.5V AAA batteries and can be turned off for an extended period of time.
