RKI M2A Detector Head Transmitter

The RKI M2A is a state-of-the-art transmitter that can function as a standalone monitor, stand-alone, or as part of an integrated system.

The RKI M2A connects analog or digital signals to almost any controller, PLC, or DCS. The setup process is simplified with user-friendly OLED menus and pushes buttons. It uses the magnetic wand technique to perform non-invasive calibration. The RKI instruments M2A offer automatic zero offset correction, making readings more stable and reducing the need for adjustment due to sensor aging.

The RKI M2A enclosure does not need to be opened for zeroing or calibration, so there is no need to reduce the area for routine maintenance. It is designed so that one person can perform a full field calibration. The structure of the sensor is Class I, Div. 1 Group B, C, D for combustibles, CO, H2S, O2, and CO2, and Class I, Div. 2 for all other poisons.

The transmitter provides a 4-20 mA output in addition to the Modbus digital output. It also has two relay alarm levels, plus relay failure alarms. The digital display of gas concentrations, along with alarms and status lights, can be viewed through the front window.
