Product Overview

Based on the ultrasonic principle, the digital ultrasonic flaw detector Mitech MFD550B can quickly and reliably test, orient, assess, and diagnose a variety of faults including cracks, fats, and air holes in the inside of a workpiece without causing any damage. Full digital 640×480 TFT LCD display, which vividly shows the flaw in low light and in direct sunshine.

The 0-9999mm measurement range may satisfy the needs of general flaw inspection in the manufacturing, metallurgical, metal-processing, chemical, and other industries.

Function & application

The device has a wide range of applications, including the detection and size of concealed cracks, voids, disbands, and other discontinuities in welds, forgings, billets, axles, shafts, tanks, pressure vessels, turbines, and structural elements.

Working Principle

When a flaw appears in a workpiece made of homogeneous material, Mitech MFD550B will reveal the interface between the defect and the workpiece’s other media.
