Megger TORKEL 900 Battery Discharge Test System
The Megger TORKEL 900 is the fourth generation in the series of Megger’s trusted battery discharge test systems. Discharge testing is the only test method that provides a comprehensive insight into battery capacity, and is, therefore, an essential part of vigorous battery maintenance programs.
Tests can be performed at constant current, constant power, constant resistance, or according to a preselected load configuration. With the portable voltage recorder, the BVM, now connected directly to the TORKEL 900, it becomes a complete stand-alone discharge test system.
Enhance Your Electrical Measurements with the Megger Torkel 900: Reliable Battery Testing and Data Analysis
TORKEL is connected to the battery, and discharge current and alarm levels (voltage, capacity, duration) are set. After starting to discharge, TORKEL keeps the current constant at a preset level. When the voltage drops to a level slightly above the end voltage, TORKEL will issue a warning. If the voltage drops so low that there is a risk of deep discharge of the battery, TORKEL will stop the test. All values ​​are stored in TORKEL and can be easily transferred via USB to PC for evaluation.
