Fluke Networks CableIQ Qualification Tester Kit

The Fluke Networks CableIQ Qualification Tester Kit is a hand-held device that tests and qualifies the transmission capabilities of twisted pair and 75 Ω coaxial cabling. It is designed to meet the emerging needs of network technicians who need to upgrade to higher network speeds as well as troubleshoot connectivity problems.

The CableIQ Qualification Tester Kit is a discontinued product, but the LinkIQ Cable+Network Tester has replaced it. This article will provide an overview of the Fluke Networks CableIQ Qualification Tester Kit, its key features, and its specifications.

Key Features

The Fluke Networks CableIQ Qualification Tester Kit is a powerful tool that can troubleshoot copper cabling and qualify it for 10/100/Gig Ethernet. It can also measure network capacity (10 Meg, 100 Meg, 1 Gig) to determine support for VoIP, data, and video. The CableIQ Qualification Tester Kit can detect and display the speed and duplex settings of attached switches, cables, and PCs regardless of network type. It can also quickly diagnose whether the cable is fully intact and ready to perform optimally, or if it is damaged or degraded somehow. The CableIQ Qualification Tester Kit can test all copper cabling media, including twisted-pair, coax, and audio.

The CableIQ Qualification Tester Kit has advanced troubleshooting diagnostics, including insertion loss, cross talk, and noise issues. It also has core troubleshooting features such as length, distance to fault, graphical wire mapping, opens, shorts, and power over Ethernet (POE) detection. The CableIQ Qualification Tester Kit can locate and trace cables with digital toning technology. It requires the IntelliTone 200 Digital Probe, which is included in the kit.
