An automatic transfer switch controller is the DSE335. The DSE335 will keep an eye on the voltage and frequency of the incoming AC supply from two distinct sources. These sources may be the utility’s mains or a generator, or they could be both. In the event of a failure, the module will watch S1 (source 1) and issue a start instruction to (source 2) in response. The module will regulate the transfer device and switch the load from S1 to S2 once S2 is available and providing an output within limitations. The module will order a load return to S1 and shut off S2 once the S1 supply comes to within limitations.
